It seems the corvettes are running pretty hot in the auctions for January, with the top 11 totaling over $12M.

!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! listed the top sales for this January in corvette auctions, and the L88's are bringing in big money.

Some of my favorites to note are the L88 Rebel Racer, a pretty rare and historically important corvette. With a long list of modifications, the car spent a lot of time on the track for SCCA and even did testing for Goodyear®. The green ZR2 from 1971 hits my weak spot, especially with the egg-crate gills.

Check out Corvette Blogger's chart for the top sales:

Pretty understandable, considering how quickly the rare ones are dropping from the face of the earth.

As a corvette fan, this is still a damn funny comment.

:-)

I just read all the details of these and I heartily agree about the ZR2 Coupe.

Thanks! Yeah I have a soft spot for those models with the egg-crate gills they just do it for me. A 425bhp 454 throwing down on a 1/12 car is pretty damned sweet, too.
